TFG Group has been at the forefront of metal fabrication in Australia since 1995. Our team of qualified boilermakers, welders, and fabrication engineers work across a broad range of materials — including mild steel, stainless steel, aluminium, and exotic alloys such as Hastelloy, Inconel, and Duplex — to produce components and assemblies that meet the most demanding specifications.
We operate purpose-built fabrication workshops in Perth (Welshpool), Melbourne (Broadmeadows), and Brisbane (Yatala), each equipped with overhead cranes up to 5 tonnes, a 120-tonne hydraulic press, and 3-meter plate rolling capacity. This infrastructure allows us to handle everything from single-piece prototype work through to high-volume production runs and large-scale structural assemblies.
All fabrication is carried out under our integrated management system, which holds ISO 9001 (Quality), ISO 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety), and ISO 14001 (Environmental) accreditations. Our welding procedures are qualified to AS3992, AS1554, AS4041, ASME Section IX, and relevant API specifications, ensuring compliance across industries from food and beverage to oil and gas.

Aluminium & Exotic Welding
Specialist welding of aluminium, Duplex, Super Duplex, Hastelloy, Inconel, and other exotic alloys using qualified procedures. Our welders hold current certifications for TIG, MIG, and plasma welding across these challenging materials, delivering joints that meet stringent mechanical and corrosion-resistance requirements.
Coded Pipe Welding
Pressure-rated pipe welding to AS4041, AS3992, ASME B31.1, and B31.3 codes. Every weld is performed by coded welders and documented with full traceability, including welder identification, consumable batch records, and inspection reports to satisfy third-party audits.
Complex Pipe Spooling
In-house pipe spooling from isometric drawings or 3D models, covering carbon steel, stainless steel, and exotic materials. Our workshop-based approach improves weld quality, reduces site installation time, and allows for thorough pre-delivery inspection and testing.
Sanitary Tube Welding
High-purity tube welding for the food, beverage, dairy, and pharmaceutical sectors. We achieve the surface finishes and weld profiles required by hygienic process standards, with internal bore purging and passivation to prevent contamination and corrosion.
Tanks & Vessels
Design and fabrication of storage tanks, pressure vessels, and process vessels in accordance with AS1210, AS1692, and ASME standards. Our capabilities span atmospheric tanks through to high-pressure coded vessels, including internal surface finishing and external coating preparation.
Skid Fabrication
Complete skid-mounted systems incorporating structural frames, pipework, valves, instrumentation, and electrical integration. Skid fabrication in a controlled workshop environment ensures tighter tolerances, better quality control, and significantly faster on-site installation.
Orbital Welding
Automated orbital TIG welding for consistent, repeatable, high-purity welds on tube and pipe systems. This technology is essential for pharmaceutical, semiconductor, and food-grade applications where manual welding variability is unacceptable.
Weld Passivation
Chemical and electrochemical passivation of stainless steel welds and surfaces to restore the chromium oxide layer, preventing corrosion and ensuring compliance with hygienic and clean-process standards. We perform passivation both in-workshop and on-site as required.
