Uncompromising Standards, Verified Results
Quality is not just a department at TFG Group — it is embedded in everything we do. Since our founding in 1995, we have built a culture where every welder, fabricator, and project manager takes personal responsibility for the integrity of their work. Our quality assurance and quality control systems provide the framework that turns that commitment into measurable, auditable results.
We maintain an integrated management system certified to ISO 9001 (Quality Management), ISO 45001 (Occupational Health and Safety Management), and ISO 14001 (Environmental Management). These certifications are not simply certificates on the wall — they represent the documented procedures, regular audits, and continuous improvement processes that govern every project we undertake.
Our QA/QC capabilities cover the full lifecycle of fabrication and installation work, from incoming material verification and welding procedure qualification through to final inspection, testing, and handover documentation. Whether your project requires compliance with AS3992, AS1554, AS4041, ASME Section IX, or API specifications, our quality team ensures that every requirement is met and evidenced.
Quality & Testing Services
Our dedicated quality team uses a range of testing methods and documentation practices to verify that every component and assembly meets specification.
Non-Destructive Testing
We employ a range of non-destructive testing (NDT) methods to verify weld integrity without damaging the component. Our capabilities include visual inspection (VT), liquid penetrant testing (PT), magnetic particle testing (MT), radiographic testing (RT), and ultrasonic testing (UT). The appropriate method — or combination of methods — is selected based on the material, joint configuration, applicable code, and client requirements. All NDT is performed by qualified technicians and documented with full reporting for client and regulatory review.
Hydrostatic Testing
Hydrostatic pressure testing is carried out on pipework systems, pressure vessels, and tanks to verify their structural integrity and leak-tightness before commissioning. We perform testing in accordance with AS4041, AS1210, ASME B31.1, B31.3, and client-specific procedures. Each test is documented with calibrated gauge records, hold-time logs, and sign-off reports. Our teams can conduct hydrostatic testing both in-workshop and on-site, accommodating projects of all sizes and locations across Australia.
Weld Documentation & Traceability
Complete weld traceability is fundamental to our quality system. Every weld joint is recorded with the welder's identification, welding procedure specification (WPS), consumable batch numbers, preheat and interpass temperatures where applicable, and inspection results. We compile comprehensive documentation packages that include weld maps, material test certificates, NDT reports, and as-built records — providing a complete audit trail from raw material through to finished product. This level of traceability is essential for industries such as oil and gas, pharmaceutical, and water treatment where regulatory compliance demands full accountability.
